However it could very easily be labelled as Hip or Designer, but what stands out is the individuality and exceptional attention to detail both in the level of friendliness from the fantastic staff to the unique standard of the rooms. (LC 01 / 06)SurroundingAreaHotel Hellsten is situated right in the heart of Stockholm, within walking distance of all central buildings, tourist attractions and key locations. It has great access to local transport, with the tube station of Radmansgatan only a block away, while the local area offers an exciting and trendy environment of restaurants and bars of all types and styles.RoomTypesThe Superior rooms are also all individually designed to reflect their natural advantages. Some rooms have ”kakelugnar,” a Swedish style of porcelain stove that can be lit with candles, if requested, and stuccatio wooden panels, plus most are furnished with antiques from Sweden and Asia. Bold colours and textiles give many rooms a romantic but esthetically pleasing environment in which to relax and unwind. All have modern facilities such as TV's, broadband Internet and irons. The bathrooms are stunning and in excellent condition with black Greek imported slate tiling the walls and onfloor heating providing the luxurious feel. Three Suites are available, of which two are interconnecting. These rooms are exceptionally spacious and overlook the front of the building; all have high ceilings and grand floor to ceiling windows giving a feeling of a bourgeois 19th Century apartment.PropertyInformationT he building dates from 1898, and offers a traditional Stockholm Town House exterior of stone and grand windows overlooking a narrow street. The hotel's founder, aim of keeping the old style of typical bourgeois family flats is evident throughout.DiningFacilitiesNo restaurant is available but breakfast is served in the high ceiling and grand reception room adjoining the lobby and entrance hall. The deep red walls and dark wood rustic furniture provide an emotive and inspiring atmosphere.
